The original Dumb And Dumber movie is a classic and thankfully, it’s not being remade. However, we were still holding out hope for a sequel to the film. There were rumblings that a sequel was in the works since the movie’s creators talked about it this year.
Of course, there could be no sense in doing a sequel without Jim Carrey or Jeff Daniels. Jim backed out of the project after saying that there was a lack of enthusiasm from New Line and Warner Brothers.
After the news broke, TMZ dispatched a camera guy to talk to Jeff about the sequel, appropriately titled “Dumb And Dumber To” (note the misspelling). When asked if we were going to get another Dumb And Dumber, Jeff responded, “It’s on the internet, we’re not doing it. Didn’t you see that? It’s all over the internet. It’s not happening.”
We’re sad that they’re not doing the sequel, as we were really looking forward to it. Thankfully, they’re not forgoing the original cast for some other bumbling duo. That would not go over well with the movie’s fans whatsoever.
