Dr. Phil in trouble for practicing psychology without a license?

TMZ is reporting that Dr. Phil may be in trouble for practicing medicine without a license.
According to a souce, the psychologist who filed the complaint says that Dr. Phil was trying to practice medicine when he made a visit to Britney Spears after she had her breakdown.
It’s being reported that Dr. Phil has never been licensed to practice in California. Dr. Phil’s head honchos are now backpeddling saying that Dr. Phil never intended to try to get Britney on the show and there were never plans to put her on the air.
Dr. Phil also may have violated HIPAA laws by disclosing information about a patient’s medical condition with the media.
People are signing a petition that’s being circulated to get Dr. Phil off of the air.
Was this all started by the Spears machine??

No, I don’t think so. Ask yourself how you would feel, contemplate if you will, if he or someone like him had done what he did to you or a member of your family. HIPAA laws are very serious and are there to protect people like you and I as well as people of celebrity status.
He is a conman who was caught in his own trap. He has no ethics and should not be posing as a healing professional in any capacity except perhaps playing one on a scripted soap opera. His show is a travesty of exploitation of people’s pain and misfortune for his profit. It should be canceled.

I think he should do some prison time for practicing where he was not licensed to do so. When he gets out if he still has a show he can interview himself. We cant start making exceptions for high profile individuals. His actions are repulsive and hope he learns what its like to be on the other side.
