David Arquette got jealous over Courteney Cox’s kiss scene in Dirt

In the series Dirt (on FX), Courteney Love plays tabloid editor, Lucy Spiller. Lucy is the evil editor that will do whatever it takes to get a good story.

When filming an episode of the show, David Arquette had to direct Courteney in a scene where she made out with another man. He could almost not stomach to watch them go at it.

On The Late Show with David Letterman, Courteney described shooting the season two scene, where she locks lips with Danny Comden, who plays Ted Rothman on the show.

She said that David advised her to open up the fortune cookie and then go in for the kiss, but when she leaned in to kiss Danny, David says, ‘Cut.’”
