Daniel Radcliffe slams Equus’ double standard

Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe is hitting out at the “moral outrage” that his naked performance in Equus has attracted, accusing the critics of double standards.

Dan says that he’s angry that he’s becoming tabloid fodder for posing nude in the play and insists that it’s not getting the coverage that it deserves.

I think they should take more pictures…but that’s just me.

Dan fumed, “There was a sense of moral outrage when it was announced I would be naked. I don’t understand it because it’s just a character. No one actually minded that he (character) blinds six horses. It’s a bit of a dose of double standards, which aggravated me slightly.”

I don’t understand it, either. It’s a play and he’s an actor. The critics need to get over themselves already. On that note, I’d go see Equus only if Dan Radcliffe were nude.
