The Voice coach Christina Aguilera says that she hopes that she can empower women with her curvier figure. When she started out her career, she was pencil thin, but now as a fuller figured woman, she hopes that her struggle will make women more comfortable in their own skin.
In a new interview, she said, “I’m always in support of someone who is willing and comfortable in their own skin enough to embrace it. Embracing your body is so important, especially as a woman. In this business we are so analyzed and judged. It’s wonderful to be in a position and have that side of myself that I can latch on to and empower other women. The older you get, the more important it is to embrace your body and your sexuality.”
Now that these quotes have come out, will she release a new interview next week to say that she never said any of this? We’re still wondering after that piece came out where she called herself a “fat” girl. What do you think? Does Christina’s curviness empower you?
