Cher used to date Tom Cruise

When he was only 23-years-old and she was 39, Tom Cruise and Cher had a thing. Who knew?

Apparently, he was fresh out of his breakout role in Risky Business and she said they could’ve had a big romance because she was crazy about him.

In an interview earlier this year, Cher states, “I did date him [Cruise]. He was just the most adorable man you can imagine. He wasn’t into Scientology then. I don’t understand the whole Scientology thing.”

And just recently, when on the Oprah show taping this past weekend, Cher said of Tom, “I was crazy about him.”

Cher added, “He was shy. He said he felt like such a boob in school and nobody talked to him. We went on a date once for dinner in a New York restaurant and the waitress was from his old school. He told me she never talked to him back in school, but now he was recognized, he got all her attention.”

Is someone trying to get some publicity? Her Vegas show is opening soon and he’s celebrating 25 years of being a douchebag for Risky Business.
