Britney Spears was taken to the UCLA Medical Center earlier this week as an intervention from her family. She is currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, while her family and manager, Sam Lutfi, struggle to keep control of her medical affairs.
As you may already know, upon Britney’s first visit to the hospital, following her January 3rd breakdown, she put Sam Lutfi in charge of handling her medical care.
A Spears family friend says of her recent lockdown, “There was a lot of arguing going on between her family and Sam Lutfi. There’s a major tug of war going on.”
The relationship between Sam Lutfi and Britney Spears’ family has quickly deteriorated when she was put on another 5150 hold, recently. Sources say that their relationship hit its breaking point on Wednesday. Her family is seeking the responsibility of handling her medical care and Sam is trying to fight it. He’s even spoke out publicly saying that Lynne Spears doesn’t care about her daughter and only worries about being cut off financially.
Sam Lutfi says, “They came into the house with an agenda and are trying to look like the heroes after all the dirty work has been done. Their main worry is being financially cut off.”
A source close to Lynne Spears says that she doesn’t make money off of her children and the media have made her out too look like a money-grubber, and she isn’t.
I’m going to side with Brit’s family on this one. Money or no, I would think that Lynne and the rest of Britney’s family are not wrong here and they DO in fact, care about her. If I were Lynne, I wouldn’t care if Britney hated me, it doesn’t change the fact that she’s still her daughter. And no matter what, you still want your daughter to get all of the help she needs.
