Britney Spears Charged with Hit and Run, Faces Possible Jail Time

Wow. First Lindsay and now Britney Spears. Britney’s been charged with a hit and run and for driving without a valid California license from an August 16 incident. If convicted, Spears will get a maximum of 1 year in jail.

The LA City Attorney sent a letter notifying Britney of the charges today; she’ll be arraigned on October 10. Each charge carries potential jail time of up to 6 months. Meanwhile, Britney was following through with her court-mandated drug test today when X17 caught up with her and snapped some pix. As she left the facility, she was crying and quite upset.(source)
