Poison frontman Bret Michaels has called off his engagement to long-time girlfriend Kristi Gibson. They had been dating on and off for the past sixteen years, but have called time on their relationship. The duo have vowed to remain friends because they have two daughters together, Raine and Jorja.
Bret’s representative said on Twitter, “Although the couple have separated they remain great friends and are committed to jointly raising their two daughters.”
After Bret suffered from a head injury at the Tony Awards and was hospitalized after learning that he had a brain hemorrhage. Afterward, on his reality show Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It, he proposed to Kristi during the finale in 2010.
Bret also revealed in a recent interview that he is planning on documenting his life and celebrity status as the singer for Poison. He said, “I want to tell the story. Mostly, when you see rock movies, it has to be this over-the-top thing. I want to give people a Bret Michaels movie where they see that my life is a comedy of errors. I also want to show my fans how to get through the kind of troubles that would leave most people flat on the floor.”
Would you watch a movie based on Bret’s life? I would, but only if he promises to show what’s underneath his bandana.
