In a shocking move, Avril Lavigne has gotten herself engaged to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. Honestly, I didn’t even know that they were dating. They had been dating for a reported six months before he popped the question.
The duo first got together in February when he was asked to co-write a song for Avril’s upcoming album. A source said, “A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together.”
On August 8th, he asked her to marry him and presented her with a huge 14-carat diamond engagement ring. A family source said, “He makes her so happy. Both of their families could not be more excited.”
This will mark Chad’s first marriage and Avril’s second. She was previously married to Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley, who she had split from in 2009. She was also previously linked to Brody Jenner.
