Ashton Kutcher recently gave an interview where he discussed what he’s accomplished with Twitter. He’s surpassed CNN in his Twitter following and has the ability to basically shut down websites just by tweeting about them.
In the interview, he also said this: “I started Twitter as a communication device to stay in touch with fans.”
Interesting as it may seem, I’m sure it was just a slip of the tongue. He definitely does command a following that rivals most huge media companies. He said, “I shut down a website everyday because I send too much traffic there from my Twitter feed.”
He also commented on how he got a series of jokes for his new movie, “Five Killers” by tweeting about it to his fans. Of this, he said that he got a ton of replies, adding, “I don’t know if it will end up in the final cut.”
