Ashlee Simpson Taking ‘Melrose Place’ Role?

I guess maybe Jessica Simpson had the right idea. If the singing career doesn’t pan out, just branch out and try something else. That’s what her sister, Ashlee Simpson, is doing.

According to reports, Ashlee Simpson might have a place on the small screen in a remake of “Melrose Place”. She was previously cast on “7th Heaven” and was on that show for two years. I watched that show a few times and don’t remember her being on it, but that was a different nose.

She’s set to take the role of Violet for the new CW show, who’s said to be a “small town girl” who is actually a “shrewd sex kitten within.”
