Are Reese Witherspoon & Jake Gyllenhaal engaged?

Rumors are floating around that Jake Gyllenhaal has asked single mother, Reese Witherspoon, to be his wife. Now we all know that Reese is a one man woman, but after divorcing Ryan Phillippe closer to the end of last year, I’m not sure what I believe in this one.

Reese is a smart woman and would be smart to go along for the ride with Jake. He appears to be just what she needs: a gentleman and a sweet guy. We’ll see what happens with this rumor.

It’s been said that he proposed to her while they were in Rome last October, but I don’t believe that she wants to jump into anything too quickly. She’s taking the smart approach and taking it slowly. And, she’s America’s sweetheart! Love Reese, she’s one of my favorite actresses, so seeing her make the big step with Jake would be a good move, in my op
