Amanda Bynes has officially been charged with two counts of hit-and-run. Finally, she may have to actually take responsibility for the havoc she’s been causing. It’s about time!
The drama all started for Amanda when she first got popped for driving under the influence. Afterward, she allegedly hit a car in April and then left the scene. In August, she did the same thing, leaving without copping to the accident. Lovely, right?
Now, the Los Angeles city attorney’s office is laying the legal smackdown on Amanda for her douchebaggery. She could likely have gotten off on the first count if she hadn’t gone and done it again in August. You see, the prosecutors in the case closed it until she went and messed up again.
How hard would it have been for her to stop at the scene of an accident, exchange information and pay for the damages? Did she really want her name out there in the tabloids for being a colossal screw up?
She’s been charged with two misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run and if convicted on both counts, she could get up to a year in jail. She will be in court to answer to the charges on September 27th.
Update: The DMV has just heard our calls and has suspended this nitwit’s driver’s license. I truly believe in miracles now.
