Alec Baldwin Offered To Take Pay Cut For ’30 Rock’

In case you hadn’t heard, 30 Rock’s seventh season will be its last. But that didn’t stop Alec Baldwin from trying to save the show. He tried to convince the show’s creator and co-star Tina Fey to keep the show on the air by offering to take a cut in his pay.

NBC made the announcement in May that this would be the show’s last season and Alec has made sure fans know that he really tried hard to keep it on TV. He took to his official Twitter page on Thursday to say, “I offered NBC to cut my pay 20 percent in order to have a full 7th and 8th seasons of 30 Rock. I realize times have changed.”

He tried, but there wasn’t anything that he could do to change Tina’s mind about letting the show go. He did say, however, that he is looking forward to some time off after tying the knot with Hilaria Thomas this past June.

Are you sad to see 30 Rock go?
