The drama between Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger over their 12-year-old daughter Ireland doesn’t seem to have an end in sight. At least, not anytime soon. Alec is reportedly very angry at Kim for allegedly turning Ireland against him.
Let’s review, in April of last year, Alec himself yelled at his daughter, calling her a “thoughtless little pig”. If that doesn’t alienate a child from their parent, I don’t know what will.
He now says, “Think I’m walking stiffly? Yeah, there’s a 120lb actress on my back. Parental alienation is about people who narcissistically project their whole reality on to a child – ‘I don’t need you, so the child doesn’t need you.’ The goal of the alienating parent is to kill contiguous time. People need reliability. They need regularity. And I’ve been the victim of a campaign to kill all of that.” He adds, “You end up being more an uncle than a father.”
Ouch. The fact that he’s the only one doing any of the talking says something, as well. Kim is apparently not going to lower herself to his level and attack him in public. But, playing the devil’s advocate here, maybe she’s attacking him privately. We don’t know.
Baldwin repeatedly and obsessively bashes and denigrates the mother of his child. He then attempts to twist the facts by blaming everything on the mother. What a psycho!
I couldn’t agree more. This guy only continues to make himself look worse, so I guess that works for Kim. She really doesn’t need to address any of this nonsense. He can look like an idiot all on his own.
