According to reports, Al Pacino has been in talks to take on the role of disgraced Penn State coach Joe Paterno in a new biopic of his life.
Joe passed away in January from a battle of lung cancer. He was guilty of hiding the fact that Jerry Sandusky was abusing little boys in the showers of the college. He had an illustrious career for 46 years of the college, but was left shamed when he was held culpable for what Jerry had done.
Mike McQueary witnessed Jerry abusing a young boy and told Joe, but nothing was done as a result. Afterward, Joe was fired for not taking action against Jerry. Jerry was charged and convicted of 45 counts of sexual abuse of the young boys and Joe’s life story became the subject of a book called Paterno.
Al is said to be tapped for the lead role of Joe in the movie adaptation. Will you watch him playing a monster on the big screen? Who will they cast as the child molester Jerry Sandusky? Thoughts?
